This week Kia Drake-Cummings and Amy Sparks went to Congress. 
They shared your stories when meeting with both Congressmen Ruppersberger and Senator Mikulski’s office. They expressed the need for immediate options for our children. Congressmen Ruppersberger’s aid replied that the State School Superintendent needs to ask for the money to fund Virtual K-12 Schools in Maryland. They were extremely open to the possibilities. So where does this leave us?
Now we must make 2 phone calls or emails. One to our State Superintendent of Schools Dr. Nancy Grasmick at 1-888-246-0016. Her email is ngrasmick@msde.state.md.us Ask her to please ask the federal government for the money to fund our Virtual K-12 programs. They are waiting to hear from her.
